Kite Festival 🪁
From April 23 to May 3, Pinarella Beach in Cervia becomes an open-air stage for the International Kite Festival, featuring over 200 artists from more than 50 countries, ready to fill the sky with artistic, ethnic, and giant kites. The program also includes acrobatic shows, workshops, live music, and a food area.
The theme “Brother Wind” celebrates the harmony between art, nature, and peoples, weaving together significant cultural events. The guest of honor will be Colombia with the Bimana collective, the star of the evocative Parade of Creatures.
“Wonder,” understood as marvel and exploration, is the central theme of this edition: an invitation to celebrate creativity, authenticity, and traditions, in dialogue with the present.
ARTEVENTO returns with its richest, most multidisciplinary, and most poetic program ever!
🪁 Featuring traditional kites from the Layang-Layang Museum in Jakarta, the Association of Thai and International Kite, and the Japan Kite Association
🎭 Featuring the Parade of Creatures—3D Puppet & Air Creations by Bimana, a giant art installation from Colombia
🌙 Featuring 5 contemporary circus performances for adults and children, 31 shows, and the most acclaimed performers in collaboration with ATER Fondazione at the new Flying Circus Arena by the sea
🎥 Featuring the Cinema du Desert, for solar-powered screenings under the stars
🎨 Featuring the art of papier-mâché and a shower of magic straight from the Romagna Carnival… and much more!
From the tribute to the Canticle of the Creatures, the leitmotif of the 46th edition continues with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to the “poetess of the wind” Grazia Deledda, with a nod to the 160 years of relations between Italy and Japan and the 40th anniversary of the twinning between the Emilia-Romagna Region and Ibaraki Prefecture, and with the celebration of the union between the art of the wind and contemporary circus, organized in collaboration with the ATER Foundation through the introduction of the Flying Circus Arena on the beach, a major new feature of this edition, to which the fairy-tale atmosphere of the 2026 poster alludes.
